Measurement of blood oxygen saturation
Schořová, Martina ; Janoušek, Oto (referee) ; Chmelař, Milan (advisor)
In the first part, this bachelor thesis deal about problems, which are connected together with measurement of blood saturation by oxigen. In this thesis is introduced description of various methods, but as the main problem is a pulse oximetry. In the second part is examination of different conditions which can create error in oxigen blood saturation measurement. These conditions has been tested to volunteers.
Design of Handheld Pulse Oximeter
Havlíčková, Klára ; Sládek, Josef (referee) ; Zdvihalová, Markéta (advisor)
My bachelor's thesis is focused on design of a handheld pulse oximeter. Its main goal is to improve a shape, ergonomics and visual solution of nowadays handheld pulse oximeters and to innovate this part of technology, ergonomics, economics and the usage of this device on the field of outpatient and inpatient care.
Testing of Blood Oxygenation for Pilots
Kvasnička, Pavel ; Smolík, Luděk (referee) ; Drahanský, Martin (advisor)
This work investigates the measurement of blood oxygenation for pilots, which is based on noninvasively method of pulse oxymetry. This method is based on the selective light absorption in the spectrum of infrared and red light by oxyhemoglobin and reduced hemoglobin. For measurement is crucial a pulse component of arterial blood, in which is measured concentration of hemoglobin to total amount of hemoglobin.
Heart rate measurement using pulse oximetry on unconventional parts of the human body
Varmužová, Zdeňka ; Mrnka, Michal (referee) ; Cupal, Miroslav (advisor)
This study deals with the method of measuring heart rate using pulse oximetry. It describes the basic principles of this method for determining both heart rate and blood oxygenation. It examines the possibilities of placing the sensor on non-standard places of the human body. It also discusses the possible shortcomings of the method as well as the inaccuracies of measurements in certain places on the body and the possibilities of mounting the sensor and the use of the product in ordinary life. Later it presents the design for the heart rate measuring device used on the selected body part, that is forehead, and compares it with commercialy available products.
